Location
The property is located in Barbariga, a small Croatian resort on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula. The local beach is a 15-minute walk from the accommodation and there are numerous bars and restaurants also within walking distance.
The resort is relatively close to the Brijuni Islands, a national park famous for its natural beauty, golf course, beaches and archaeological sites. The Brijuni Islands can be reached from the nearby fishing village of Fazana (a 13-minute drive) which serves as the main departure point for boat trips to the islands which take approximately 15-20 minutes. Fazana enjoys a picturesque waterfront promenade lined with cafes, restaurants and shops, a delightful place to explore, enjoy the sea views and savour local cuisine.
The historic town of Pula is a 30-minute drive away. Here visitors can explore the ancient Roman ruins, including the iconic Pula Arena, and immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of this coastal city. The nearby town of Vodnjan (a 15-minute drive) also offers historical and cultural attractions including the Church of St. Blaise with its mummies.
Those in search of a sunny beach day are spoilt for choice with numerous coves and beaches dotted along the coast, each with its own unique character and many within a 10-minute drive from the accommodation. Barbariga is surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, fragrant pine trees and ancient olive groves and also offers opportunities for scenic hikes and bike rides.
